Travis Routh, PT, DPT</br/>
Travis Routh PT, DPT, earned his undergrad degree in Exercise Science from High Point University in High Point, NC. Following graduation, Travis then earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Western Carolina University in 2015. With a primary interest in orthopedics, Travis has taken continuing education courses for management of orthopedic conditions including lower back pain, upper and lower extremity disorders, sports specific training, and manual therapy approaches.
Sean McAlarney, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant
Sean McAlarney, PTA was Born and raised near Scranton Pennsylvania and graduated HS in 2006. Upon graduating High school, Sean was co-owner of a masonry business for 5 years and was also an assistant head coach for North Pocono High school soccer. He also competed in amateur kickboxing and was assistant head trainer for 5 years at Northeast Karate and Kickboxing. Sean then Enlisted in the United States Army in 2011 and was stationed at Fort Bragg for 5 year where he attained his parachutist badge as well as the rank of Sergeant prior to his honorable discharge in 2016. He then Graduated from South University in High Point earning his Associates in Science in Physical Therapy Assistant, in Dec of 2018. Sean moved to Western NC because of the beauty and active lifestyle in and around this area. He enjoys all outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, being on the river, in the mountains, and on the beach. Sean has devoted the rest of his life to helping people get back to their normal daily living, prior level of function, and helping with their overall well-being in the most holistic approach possible.
Christina Ammons, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant
Christina Ammons is a PTA at our Waynesville clinic. She was raised in Asheville, NC and received an Associates degree from South College in 2008. She enjoys working with the pediatric and geriatric populations and is excited to serve the community where she grew up. She desires to help others and to be an encouragement to them along their way to recovery.
She and her husband Ryan currently live in Canton and have two sons, Heath and Rylan, as well as two dogs Daisy and Buster. In her free time she enjoys attending church, playing various sports, fishing, gardening and spending time with her family.
Lucas Pitman, PT
Lucas Pitman, PT is a 2010 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a major in Exercise and Sport Science and a minor in Coaching. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013 from East Tennessee State University. Lucas is a Certified Kinesio-Taping Practitioner that allows him to apply several techniques to various injuries and conditions to people of all ages. Along with the general population, he works closely with local schools and athletes to provide a quick return to sport while optimizing performance and reducing injury recurrence.
